Getting Computer Help at the LMC

• During LMC hours there is a computer technician available in the library to assist users with computer problems and related questions.
  
  
• The Student Helpdesk (623.845.4357 / student-helpdesk@student.gc.maricopa.edu) can answer many computer and network related questions.
  • There are many computer resources available to GCC students; see details on the Student Helpdesk website. 
  • OnlineTutorials are available for many GCC hosted software packages and services.
    
    
• For help with Library databases, contact the Reference / Information Desk (623.845.3112) or use the LMC's AskALibrarian service.
  

Policy Information

1. You must have an eGCC account to access and use the computers and databases in the LMC. Public access workstations are located in the west end of the Library Media Center.

2. The Library Media Center provides computer workstations in the building for the research needs of students and staff, but it does not provide user support for all software used on campus and department labs. Be aware that you may not be able to obtain the assistance you need from librarians or tech desk staff. In such instances, contact your instructor, department lab staff, or the High Tech Centers for specialized assistance.

3. Users of GCC computers must comply with district, campus, and library computer use policies.

The LMC houses 45 computer work stations for GCC affiliates.

The Library Classroom (L138) houses 24 stations and serves as an overflow resource when not in use.

Wireless access is available in the LMC!
