All residents of Maricopa County who are 18 years old or more.
Getting a card
Present identification to confirm your identity, age, resident status, and address at the Circulation Desk. Example: Arizona Driver's License, Arizona State ID card, voter's registration card.
Cost:
The card is free of charge.
Where and when can I use the card?
- The card is good at all Maricopa Community College District libraries during normal business hours.
- There is no expiration date.
What resources can I use? Can I check out books?
Books and Videos
The Community Borrowers card entitles you to borrow one item at a time from the circulating collection. The loan period is three weeks with one renewal for books and one week for videos.
Magazines and Journals
As with GCC users, printed magazines and journals must be used in the library.
Electronic access to magazines and journals may be obtained by using one of the public access computer terminals located near the west entrance; however, no printing is available from these stations.
Computers/Internet Access
Use of the computers in the Computer Commons area is restricted to those who have an activated eGCC account through enrollment in a course at GCC. The eGCC account presents students with an integrated suite of productivity tools and a wide range of network resources, such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and internet access.
There are computers for quick look up of the catalog and databases at the west end of the library near the Information Desk. These are available for anyone; however, printing of documents cannot be done from these stations. |
