Checking Out Reserve MaterialReserve Materials are available at the Circulation Desk. Using a current Student ID they may be checked out for up to 2 hours of in library-use only. Reserve Material CollectionReserve items are a separate collection of specific books, periodical articles, maps, and various media items that are set aside for a particular course and are available for students to use in the library. These items are placed on Reserve by the academic departments and/or individual instructors. These materials are available for 2 hour, library use only. They may be checked-out, with a current student ID, at the circulation desk. Searching the Catalog for Reserve MaterialsClick on the Course Reserves link in the right column of the library homepage or the Books & Videos page. You may either search by course number or instructor name. Be aware that when looking at a list of materials under a particular course number, there may be items on reserve for other sections of the same course that are not intended for your particular class. You may find the item you are looking for by doing a title search from the Library Catalog. If the library has the item on Reserve the item’s Material Type will indicate that it is a Reserve Item. Collection DescriptionReserve items are a separate collection of specific books, periodical articles, and other materials (including videos, DVDs, and other media) that faculty members set aside for students to read (or view) for a particular course. These materials require a current student ID to check out.
