Townsend Press Reading Scholarship Program

Townsend Press is offering cash scholarships to developmental college students who read a number of paperback books during the current semester. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in RDG071 or RDG081 at Glendale Community College . The books must be read by the end of the current semester.

Awards

  1. Ten books completed - $ 100
  2. Twenty books completed - $ 200
  3. Thirty books completed - $ 300

    1. Go to the GCC Library Media Center and check out one of the above Townsend Press paperback books from the Literacy Library collection.
    2. Read the book and meet one of the Townsend Press Reading Buddies either at one of the scheduled locations listed below, or by contacting them to set up and appointment(contact information below).
    3. Meet with your instructor or Book Buddy to discuss the book you have read. Your name and book title will be recorded.
    4. Check out another book and repeat the steps above.
