GCC Libraries (at main and North) welcome visitors and community members to our buildings. Community members have limited access to materials and services offered by the libraries.
Library materials are available for use within the library by community users. Residents of Maricopa County who wish to check out circulating books or videos may do so (with limitations) if they acquire a free community borrower card.
Use of the computers in the Computer Commons area is restricted to GCC affiliates who have an MEID account through enrollment in a course at GCC.
At GCC and GCCN, there are a small number of computers available for quick look up of the catalog, databases, and the internet. These are available for anyone; however, printing of documents is not possible from these stations.
Community users may access an array of subscription databases while on the GCC campuses. However, these resources are NOT available to off-campus users unless they are affiliated with GCC.
As noted, above, there are a limited number of computer stations at the library that are available to the public. Printing is not possible from these stations. Most subscription databases allow the emailing of documents retrieved.
The Library and Media Services website is available to internet users on and off campus.
The GCC Art Collection -- mostly located within the Library Media Center on the main campus of GCC -- includes more than 500 pieces of art. The collection is open to the public without charge during regular business hours. To enrich your art experience, a self-guided audio tour has been created.
