Locating Books and Videos using Ultimate Search

To begin a search for an item (book, DVD, VHS, etc.) start at the library's homepage, under Research click on Ultimate Search. This will take you to the main search screen of the library Ultimate Search page:

Type the search terms for the item you want to locate, in the "Search" box at the main search screen.

SnagLightbulb.jpg Notice that underneath the search entry box there is a "Search Options" drop menu that will allow you to search for items available within our library, the north GCC campus, electronic (online) resources, as well other other providing search features.

A Quick Glossary the Search Options

  1. Library Books and Videos--Limits searches to books and videos found within our library, but also electronic resources such as ebooks and streaming videos.
  2. Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals--Limits the search to information found in academic journals.
  3. Full Text--Limits the search results to database articles that are available as full text accessible.
