Borrowing & Requesting Materials
Requesting Library Materials
Many items from the Maricopa County Community College District Libraries are available to be requested and picked up in person. Materials that are eligible to be checked out will have a link to "Place a Hold" in the catalog.
Picking up materials: You will receive an email when your requested items are available for pickup.
Maricopa County Community College students, faculty, and staff may use Interlibrary Loan to borrow books and articles that are not available from any of the Maricopa County Community College District Libraries. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is the process by which a library requests material from another library.
Borrowing Library Materials
For more information see the Borrowing Guidelines.
With Library buildings closed until further notice, textbooks held in the Library Reserve Collections are not accessible. Please work with your instructor. For anatomical models, calculators, and other materials held in your Library's Reserve Collection, please contact your instructor for assistance. Here is a link to the listing of reserve books the GCC Library has been able to locate online versions of https://guides.gccaz.edu/textbookreserves.
Reserve items are a separate collection of specific books and various media items that are set aside for a particular course and are available for students to use in the library. Items are placed on Reserve by the academic departments and/or individual instructors. They are available for 2 hours, library use only, and may be checked-out, with a current student ID, at the circulation desk. One Reserve item may be checked out at a time.
