My MCCCD Library Account

Click on the link above to access your Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) Libraries account. This account is your gateway to checking on your due dates, renewing items, placing holds, and searching content only available to GCC students. To log-in, use your MEID and the associated password. This is the same log-in credentials used to access "My Student Center" and Canvas.

Requesting Library Materials

Many items from the Maricopa County Community College District Libraries are available to be requested and picked up in person. Materials that are eligible to be checked out will have a link to "Place a Hold" in the catalog.

Picking up materials: You will receive an email when your requested items are available for pickup.

Interlibrary Loans

Maricopa County Community College students, faculty, and staff may use Interlibrary Loan to borrow books and articles that are not available from any of the Maricopa County Community College District Libraries. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is the process by which a library requests material from another library.


Borrowing Guidelines

Checkout period

Books and CDs 28 days, one renewal
DVDs & Non-book items, excluding CDs 7 days, one renewal
Reserve Materials 2 hours, in-library use only
Laptop computers 4 hours, in-library use only

Loan limits

Students 20 items / 5 non-book items
Faculty/Staff 20 items
Alumni 10 items / 3 non-book items
Community Borrowers 5 items / 3 non-book items

Holds

Items on hold must be picked up within 10 days

Students / Faculty / Staff Unlimited holds
Alumni / Community Borrowers 5 holds

Renewals

28-day renewals are limited to ONE time only. Renew online through your MCCCD Library Account, on the phone (623-845-3109) or inside the library. Items on hold will not renew.

Returns

Items may be returned to any Maricopa County Community College District Library.

Overdue Fines

Overdue items are assumed lost. Fines are assessed as follows:

Books and CDs 28 days past due, the borrower will be fined the cost of the item.
DVDs & Non-book items, excluding CDs 14 days past due, the borrower will be fined the cost of the item.

Borrowers have 90 days from the assumed lost date to return overdue items and have the fine reversed. After 90 days, no fines will be reversed. This includes previous payment for overdue items that are subsequently returned.

Reserves

Reserves removed from the library are overdue/assumed lost. Borrowers will be charged a replacement cost fine and a non-refundable $10.00 a day fee (to a maximum of $70.00) per item. If the item is returned, the replacement cost fine may be waived. The $10.00 a day fee will not be waived.

Important

Fines and fees may be paid at the college's Cashier's Office or in your Student Center at My.Maricopa.edu. Unpaid fines and fees may prohibit students from checking out library materials, registering for classes or ordering transcripts, and may be sent to collections.

Effective July 1, 2021 assumed lost items will no longer be charged a $10 processing fee. Fines and fees incurred prior to July 1, 2021 will not be reversed.
