Web Access to Current Issues Databases

In order to facilitate off-campus research and online searching, the library subscribes to a selection of Current Issues Databases.

Collection Description

The Current Issues & Pro/Con collection brings together resources on contemporary topics.

As the titles of the various series (listed below) imply, many of the essays support a position on an issue or topic.

Some, such as CQ Researcher, Information Plus, and Contemporary World Issues, are good sources for background information, and the others provide argumentative essays.

The Current Issues collection includes the following series:

    Location
    Most of the Current Issues collection is located on the Pro/Con table between the reference desk and the copy machines.  Previous editions of some titles are in the General Collection.  Be sure to double check the 'Collection' statement in the catalog.
    Circulation Policies
