Collection Description:

The physical collections of the GCC Library consist of over 100,000 books, more than 8000 CDs and DVDs, and numerous magazines and periodicals. As well, for student convinience and browseability, several special collections are highlighted, including the Leisure Reading Collection, the Career & College Collection, the Pro/Con Collection, the Literacy Library, and Juvenile Collections.

Beyond the physical collections, the GCC Library also boasts a vast collection of online resources. These online resources include millions of articles from nearly 50,000 journals and periodicals, thousands upon thousands of additional eBook titles, and a vast collection of streaming online video content.

Emphasized subject areas include those directly related to the GCC curriculum including the humanities, social sciences, biological and physical sciences, nursing, and foreign language materials in support of language instruction.

Students, faculty and staff have access to the resources of the other nine libraries in the Maricopa Community Colleges through reciprocal borrowing privileges.
