Accessing Databases through the Databases by Subject Page
Below is an image of the GCC Library Databases page. On this page, each of the hyperlinks represents access to a different database, or online library resource. A few databases are general, meaning they cover a wide variety of different topics and subject areas. However, most are subject-specific databases that focus on a particular subject matter, such as: Biology, Literature, Psychology, Business, Philosophy, etc. To find the different databases that specialize in a particular subject, you can scroll down the list, or you can use the View Subject List dropdown in the upper-right of this page.
When you find a database that interests you, you can put your mouse over it to reveal a description of what the database contains and you can simply click on the database to access the resource:
Logging In From Off Campus
Similar to logging in when accessing resources through the Search Box, you will have to log in with your MEID username and password before entering databases off campus.
Certain subscription databases may not be accessible from off campus. If you have difficulty getting into a database from off campus, you can call the GCC Helpdesk at (623) 845-3555, or you can chat with a librarian 24/7 via the link to "Ask a Librarian" found on the homepage:
