Information on the Web: Promise and Peril
Promise of the Web
The World Wide Web, since its birth and inception, has become a central tool for the communication of information around the world. Through the Web and internet, people, governments, libraries, businesses, and educational institutions have been able to share knowledge and information around the world quite literally at the speed of light.
Perils of Web Information

The next slide in this tutorial discusses criteria you can use to determine the quality of information resources, including resources found on the Web.
